The KaShanta Sims FoundationThe KaShanta Sims Foundation is a 501(c)3 faith-based foundation located in Lawton, Oklahoma. It was organized for educational and charitable purposes in 2015 and is born from the late KaShanta Sims, who was the original founder and president.
Your tax deductible donations will help to: 1) educate the public about the rare, super-aggressive breast cancer which plagues African-American females ages 40 to 50 about 97% of the time. 2) introduce healthy lifestyle solutions. 3) provide financial support for patients' basic necessities and medical expenses. 4) fund research. THE VISION To empower women with the necessary knowledge and resources to defeat a cancer diagnosis with different options, while providing relief to those burdened by socioeconomic factors beyond their control that leaves them at a grave disadvantage. About KaShanta SimsKaShanta Sims was a victim of HER2 Triple Negative breast cancer, a rare super-aggressive one that researchers have discovered is more likely to affect younger African American and Hispanic women before the ages of 40 or 50.
This foundation was born out of KaShanta's suffering and desire to affect a positive change in the lives of cancer patients. She received approval to return to work early after undergoing a double mastectomy and reconstructive surgery, which was eventually followed by dreaded chemotherapy and brutal radiation treatments. Losing her job in corporate America and therefore, losing comprehensive medical insurance coverage, thrust her into a series of unfortunate events and unforeseen financial circumstances, which only fueled the flame already raging within her. No one should ever have to worry about the basic necessities of life when faced with such critical medical conditions. These factors led in her quest for natural alternatives too - from which was born her motto: OPTION PURE CANCER CURE. |
