Sometimes healing doesn’t look like what we prayed for, but that doesn’t mean Jesus has stopped being our healer. I hope you are well since the last time you read one of my posts. I pray for you often, and today I invite you to reach out in faith and touch the fringe of Jesus’ garment. Matthew 14:35-36 reminds us that those who came to Jesus believed that even touching the fringe of His garment could bring healing, and they were healed. Isaiah 53:5 tells us, “By His stripes we are healed.” His healing reaches far beyond our physical bodies. He can heal emotional, relational, and spiritual wounds too. God is the same yesterday, today, and forever; that’s what the Bible says, and I believe it. Because He was a healer then, He remains a healer today. I’ve seen Him move in miraculous ways for my family and for others around us whom we have faithfully prayed for, believing that healing could come. Years ago, I asked, why not heal my daddy? He prayed for others and saw healing, yet his own body remained sick. Through my own diagnosis, I’ve learned that God is sovereign, and sometimes healing comes on this side of eternity, while other times, it comes when we enter His presence. I don't pretend to understand every heartache: the pain of sickness, chronic illness, debilitating disease, heartbreaking diagnoses, or the life-altering journey of cancer. But I know Who can and Who does heal. His name is Jesus. Reach for Him today. Perhaps He wants to heal more than just your body. Even when healing doesn’t come the way I hope, His grace sustains me, and the promise of heaven reminds me that one day, there will be no more pain. With Love and Compassion Kamilia Watson
