"A perverse Temper, a fretful or an inhumane Disposition will render any State of Life whatsoever unhappy." These words were written by Cicero from a book my sweet sister held dear, entitled "On a Life Well Spent". The book alone wasn't that special, but it became enormously so, because it came from our father (Ken Sims). The book was gifted to my sister one fine day, after she'd stated, "Dad, I want this book." KaShanta knew that this book was one of daddy's prized possessions and she wanted it only because it belonged to him. Well, this book is now my treasure. I desperately wanted to own the book that my sister's hands had touched, just to be near her. Today, I wanted to take the time to post a quick quote from the book that seems fitting in KaShanta's memory. Her tumultuous battle with cancer left her clinging to her faith and optimism throughout every day:"...Those pure and serene pleasures of the mind, the rational fruits of knowledge and learning, that continually improve, and grow on the Possessor". May you rest in God's Grace, and your disposition render your state of life, joyful. (Kamilia Watson)
